When we talk about diet, we often think only about weight loss. In reality, following a balanced diet means taking care of your well-being in every aspect. A proper diet helps prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and some types of cancer.
Eating well also improves sleep quality, cognitive abilities, and mood. But what does “balanced diet” really mean?
It means varying foods, choosing fresh and seasonal products, and limiting simple sugars, saturated fats, and excess salt.
It is important to listen to your body, respect hunger and satiety signals, and abandon the concept of “restriction” as the only way to stay healthy. In my practice, I guide each patient on a sustainable, personalized path based on objective data.
There are no miracle foods or shortcuts: health starts with daily choices. And good nutrition is the best choice we can make for ourselves.
